The Alan and Muriel Pense Archaeological Museum was given to the Evangelical School of Theology over a period of years, beginning in 1980, by Dr. and Mrs. Alan W. Pense. Old Testament author and scholar, Dr. David A. Dorsey, has been the Curator of the collection since its inception. Dr. Dorsey has lived, worked and studied in the Middle East. The nature and scope of the collection make it an invaluable resource for teaching, study, and research. Every book of the Bible is touched in one way or another by it. In fact, nearly every page of Scripture is illuminated by these fine antiquities.
The collection features . . . • nearly five hundred archaeological artifacts from the lands of the Bible. • ancient history pieces from Neolithic to Medieval times. • artifacts from all parts of the Biblical world, including Egypt, Arabia, Israel, Jordan, Phoenicia, Syria, Assyria, Babylonia, ancient Sumer, Persia, Cyprus, Asia Minor, Crete, Greece, Sicily, Italy, and North Africa.
